I just saw an advert for a new Sky One series called "Big Ron Manager". According to BBC Cambridgeshire:
Goings-on behind closed doors at Peterborough Utd could soon become less of a mystery if filming for a new Sky documentary goes ahead. Big Ron Manager - as the show will be called - will take a fly-on-the-wall look behind the scenes at the everyday trials and tribulations of running a lower league club.
I could have sworn the Peterbrough manager in the clip was Steve Bleasedale, and sure enough:
caretaker manager Steve Bleasdale explains more about Atkinson's arrival: "Barry [Fry] came to me and said that we'd got a lot of money coming to the club from Sky TV...Fry has given Bleasdale assurances that Atkinson will not interfere in either the management of the club or match tactics. But the caretaker manager has been given free reign to 'feed off' Atkinson if he feels it's appropriate to do so.
When I did my FA Coaching badge with the Liverpool County FA about 5 years ago Bleasedale was my assessor. At the time he was assistant manager to Mark Wright at Southport, and has obviously worked his way up a few leagues. It'll be interesting to see if his coaching style has changed, and how much my own style has deviated from a classic Scouse Football-man
