A correction to the Jan 26th Edition

The following letter was not published by The Economist, but is reprinted here:

Dear Sir,
I was disappointed to read that you credit HEC as being "the original French business school in Paris, with a proud 127-year history" ("Insead out?", January 26th). ESCP-EAP European School of Management (a Grand Ecole) was not only founded in 1819, but was done so by Jean-Baptiste Say - one of the most under appreciated and neglected of the classical economists, yet often revered by The Economist. In addition ESCP-EAP preempts the Bologna Accords by being the only institution with its own campuses across 5 European countries, and a series of harmonised degree programmes.
