May the unrealised plans of these monumental buildings serve as a reminder that it is right and proper to build innovatively without destroying the historically valuable past. That which history has given us, both good and bad, is our undeniable heritage, and we must accept it as it is. anthony j Evans wrote a negative article here.so negative that the poor man certainly suffers from neurosis...for all of europe Dresden should be from now on an example.we would like here to restore all that the barbaric bombers have destroyed of our heritage in germany ,Italy ,Austria or France (I am French) during WWII.it is a retur to the notions of pleasure and beauty that made our splendid unequalled civilisation for centuries.WE NEED IT and it seems tht the times are over when only the socialists or American models dominated with their gaudy or bleak visions of cities
