We take on Man Utd tomorrow without Tim Cahill down to a shambles from the FA - the referee (Howard Webb) claims not to have seen his altercation with Celestine Babayaro during the Newcastle match, despite video evidence that he did. He even spoke to both players following the incident, but this evidence wasn't used during the hearing. In short, Moyes wasn't best pleased.
It was especially displeasant given that Webb claims to have seen Shearer's elbow on Davey Weir, but decided not to even book him. I had the match on today and can't believe what Alan Shearer gets away with. Contrast it to how referees treat Duncan Ferguson. Unbelievable.
In Simon Jordan's column tomorrow he provides a nice insight to his own charge of improper conduct.
"and unlikely to win the Premiership, the absolute maximum we'll receive is about £23m", you say below. Does that mean that Everton have a greater incentive to beat Chelsea and a lesser incentive to beat ManU? I don't like the sound of that, even if it matters not a jot this season.

Yes it does, and at the time a few people pointed out the problems where teams arrange deals like this.
