The story of Everton under David Moyes is about momentum, and therefore tipping points. Our current woes are down to specific moments that have cost us. Consider our last three losses:
West Brom (lost 4-0)
- Their first goal comes from a penalty, given despite the foul being outside the box
- At one-nil their keeper deliberately handles outside the area, but escapes a red card
- Off to a great start, Beattie puts us one up. Then McFadden is off the field injured and we concede a ridiculous own goal
- Beattie puts the ball in the net, but was wrongly given off side. They go on to score a winner.
- Kevin Davies fouls Joseph Yobo in the buildup to Bolton's first goal. He shouldn't have still been on the pitch following repeat infingements, but regardless, the ref missed the foul.
- McFadden pulls one back, but it's (rightly) disallowed, a couple of minutes later they score, get a dodgy penalty (again, Davies) and we fall apart.
I only raise these facts to point out that our position is deceiving. Our lack of goals is woeful, but today we dominated, created numerous chances, but never recovered from going behind. With a bit of luck and a half decent ref all three of these games could have been comfortably won. It's not the consolidation season we expected, but it's important to seperate the trend from the blips. Our best players over the last few gmaes have been Davies and Beattie. Trust in Moyes.

Now this is a shame
Update 26th December
Aston Villa (lost 4-0)
- What is there to be said? Blatant handball by Baros to control the ball for their first.
- btw, notice how Crouch and Gerrard should both have seen red, meaning they'd be suspended for the derby. Does anyone expect the FA to do what they did to Tim Cahill?
How could you ever want moyes out after turning Everton from a debt ridden club to european challangers. And say we did get rid of him who could replace him? Eh? No one
Davy Moyes is a ledgend
