I think so, and if he gets another century, (currently on 70 odd) and if Australia miraculously beat South Africa, then i'm sure you will too.
There is no greater site sight (!) in world cricket then Ricky Ponting on the pull.
Update: Unbelievable! The records keep falling, and Punter cements his reputation, surely, as a true great. All this, and as captain - it doesn't get better.
"site"? Get to bed, son.

Hard to argue with the results. But the loss of the Ashes on his watch takes a little of the shine off his captaincy.

Hi Steve, hope you're well.
Pros:
1. Test average
2. Doing it whilst captain
3. No-one can breakaway like him
Cons:
1, The Ashes
2. Never had to face Warne/McGrath
3. Can give up a cheap wicket whilst he's getting his eye in
Comparing him to Tendulkar or Lara, he gets ahead of them for the fact that he's done it as captain, but I wonder what Lara's figures would be like if he'd never had to face McGrath.
Of current batsmen, I think those three are all legends, of similar stature.

I am doing well.
I'd agree on all three batsmen being legends. I think Lara really suffered during that 2-3 year period when I think McGrath got in his head.
I think the Ashes experience for Ponting is that he might become a little more ruthless in his decisions and that might be a good thing but we won't know for a year or so.
