I've waited until hearing people raise the gun control debate before commenting, and I'm yet to see anyone else making the same point, so here goes: would a maniac be (i) more likely or (ii) less likely, to set off on a killing spree if the probability that he'll encounter someone else carrying a gun increases?
One of the tragic elements of this horrific story is that he wasn't stopped sooner.
Jesus.

If he's a proper maniac, then he's unlikely to be deterred.
Of course, as the probability that he'll encounter someone else carrying a gun increases, so too does the likelihood that his killing spree will be cut short.

I think gun control should be increase because recently i have heard in the news that one man encounter 12 people which is very bad and such weapons should not be available so easily. Very informative article.

It is very important that such control's should be done because many incidents have occurred in past and recently a very big incident which killed many people. People in many conditions do such acts like depression, tension and other conditions. i think cure should be done to find such acts.
